INCEPTION
In the Initial 5 years, the blood bank started functioning and the processes were fine tuned. It was standalone entity and stabilized the working.

In the year 2014 , SBTC awarded status of RBTC status which is again a significant achievement. The blood bank now is a known name in Thane with the firm support of healthy donors, and has become preferred choice of many hospitals.

Blood centre has been operational during Covid days. The blood centre managed collections and was ably supported by Jana Kalyan Samiti and society which helped smooth operations during all covid years.

The blood bank has now procured Apheresis, and Chemiluminescence machine. This was major upgrade in the infrastructure. Blood bank has grown from strength to strength with able Doctors team and qualified staff. The necessary approvals are well maintained and has become a role model for quality and ethical service
